Chamber Committees

One of the greatest strengths of the Broomfield Chamber is our volunteers. Many of those folks who give their time and talent do so on Chamber Committees. Broomfield Chamber committees help set direction, manage advocacy, assist in membership initiatives, and help manage events. Our committees include:

Board-Level Committees

Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee reviews key bills, policy proposals, and ordinances at the state and local levels to assess their potential impact on the business community. They analyze the effects of legislation and make recommendations to the board on whether the Chamber should take a stance. Additionally, the committee evaluates the Chamber’s strategic policy partnerships with organizations such as the Northwest Chamber Alliance, Smart Commute, and Commuting Solutions.

Meets monthly on the 2nd Monday, 9:00am at the Chamber office.

Nonprofit Committee

The role of the Nonprofit Committee is to strengthen the ties of the local nonprofits to the Broomfield Chamber and the community while supporting and helping them succeed in their mission. The committee endeavors to learn more about the nonprofit community, and schedules events to strengthen the relationship between nonprofits and the for-profit businesses.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for developing high-quality educational content for the Chamber and its members. The committee identifies topics of interest to Chamber members, local businesses, and the broader community, collaborating with the Events Committee to create educational series opportunities around those topics. Additionally, the committee partners on initiatives to educate young people, helping to prepare the area’s future workforce. Committee members are tasked with generating ideas, finding presenters, and assisting with securing sponsorships for education series events.

Sundance Communications Committee

The Chamber’s Sundance Communications Committee is focused on helping local businesses understand, prepare for, and benefit from the regional impact of Sundance 2027. The committee works to gather and share timely information, coordinate consistent messaging, highlight opportunities for Chamber members, and support broader “eat, stay, play” promotion through platforms like Connect2Broomfield. This committee meets on the third Friday of each month at 2:00pm, in person or via Zoom.

Strategic Partnerships Committee

This committee is focused on building and nurturing relationships with medium and large businesses and corporations that are important prospective partners for the Chamber of Commerce.

Meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday, 11:30am at the Chamber office.

Events Committee

The Events Committee guides the Chamber’s vision for delivering high-quality activities, events, and programming for its members. The committee generates new ideas, assists with coordination of existing events, secures event sponsors, and helps recruit volunteers. Subcommittees meet as needed to coordinate specific events.

All new and existing events, activities, and programs are assessed for feasibility and ROI potential, with recommendations made to the Chamber staff.

Subcommittees include:

  • Member Celebration and Business Awards (Gala) Subcommittee
  • Broomfield Area Bites and Brews Subcommittee
  • EmpowHer Women in Business Event Subcommittee

We are always looking for active, committed volunteers for these groups. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to our staff at info@broomfieldchamber.com
