Chamber Committees
One of the greatest strengths of the Broomfield Chamber is our volunteers. Many of those folks who give their time and talent do so on Chamber Committees. Broomfield Chamber committees help set direction, manage advocacy, assist in membership initiatives, and help manage events. Our committees include:
Board-Level Committees
Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee will looks at key bills, policy proposals and proposed ordinances at the state and local levels to determine what impacts they may have on the business community. They evaluate the potential effects of the legislation and make recommendations to the board if they believe the chamber should take a position. This group also evaluates strategic policy partnerships the chamber has such as the Northwest Chamber Alliance, Smart Commute, and Commuting Solutions to make sure the investment in time and money is of value to the membership.
Broomfield Chamber Young Professionals (BCYP) Committee
The BCYP Committee is designed to help young professionals accelerate by assisting them in skill development and providing an environment where they can build relationships with peers and other business professionals. The group is open to young professionals ages 21-39 in the Broomfield and surrounding area. BCYP events are open to Chamber members and non-members alike and will have different member and nonmember rates when there is a fee.
Education Committee
The role of the Education Committee is the help in the creation of quality education content for the Chamber and its members. The committee will work to determine topics of interest to Chamber members, businesses at large and the wider community, and will work to create Educational Series opportunities around those topics in conjunction with the Events Committee. Committee members are asked to generate ideas, seek out presenters, and assist with sponsorship generation for Education Series events.
Membership Committee
This committee is tasked with assisting in prospecting for new members and with reviewing member referral and acquisition plans and projects. This committee will also consult with the Ambassadors Committee on member retention efforts.
Events Committee
The role of the Events Committee is to help guide the Chamber’s vision for quality activities, events, and programming content for Chamber members. The committee will generate new ideas, find sponsors for events, and assist in finding volunteers. The Concept subcommittee will meet as needed to evaluate ideas suggested by members and the community. New and existing events, activities, and programs will be evaluated on feasibility and ROI potential, and recommendations will be made to staff.

Nonprofit Committee
The role of the Nonprofit Committee is to strengthen the ties of the local nonprofits to the Broomfield Chamber and the community while supporting and helping them succeed in their mission. The committee endeavors to learn more about the nonprofit community, and schedules events to strengthen the relationship between nonprofits and the for-profit businesses.
We are always looking for active, committed volunteers for these groups. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Pat, Jordan or Andrea at info@broomfieldchamber.com
